Meet your Center Stage Staff!

JoEllen Lisi (House Manager) has been a friend of Francesca Scarpa for 19 years. JoEllen has been with Center Stage since it began in 2005 as a volunteer. Her volunteer duties included greeting and seating patrons, running concessions, ringing register, and cashing out. JoEllen later became an employee in mid 2007 and was named House Manager in October of the same year. Her duties included making reservations, managing teen employees, and preparing teen schedules, among others. JoEllen currently works Monday through Friday 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM and Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. In addition, JoEllen works for a fellow Center Stage volunteer, doing some child care - getting children on school bus in morning and tutoring one of the children after school. JoEllen is the mother of three sons - Matt (36),who resides in Texas; Marc (34), who resides in CA; Christopher (30), who resides in Bridgeport with his wife, Ann-Marie. She is also the proud grandmother of identicals, Cianna and Sierra, who  also reside in CA.



Connie Rohe (Box Office Manager) first met Gary and Fran Scarpa as a result of being hired as a guidance secretary at Shelton High School in Gary’s office.  She began volunteering to help behind the scenes on Shelton High School productions, also directed by the Scarpas. That led to Connie volunteering for the Youth Connection productions as well. Besides being Center Stage’s afternoon Box Office Manager, Connie is responsible for our program layout and design, and she assists on productions in a multitude of ways. Lending her creative talents to do everything from costumes to props to set decoration. Connie currently works at the Box Office Tuesday through Friday 3:00 PM through 7:00 PM. Connie lives in Shelton with her husband and two children, Laurie and Al.
